This half-day introductory course is designed for new employees, particularly those with no prior commercial cleaning experience, to give them a confident, informed start in their new role to our industry. Through this engaging and interactive session, participants will explore how the cleaning industry operates, the roles within a commercial cleaning business, and gain clarity on the language, systems, tools, and standards that shape the industry. Objectives: - By the end of the session, participants will: - Understand the structure of a commercial cleaning business and the different roles within it. - Be familiar with key services provided within facilities management and cleaning. - Gain awareness of industry bodies, standards, and accreditations that govern quality and compliance. - Identify different cleaning environments and the types of cleaning associated with them. - Recognise industry terminology, common methods, and equipment used in daily operations. - Learn about innovations in cleaning and the value they bring.
